Absolutely disgusted with the state of Deviant Art. The unending onslaught of uncensored “AI” pornography, including depictions of child abuse, and DA’s complacency with it gives me zero faith in this platform going forward. The lack of moderation and insistence on putting the responsibility on the users to report is complete & utter garbage. If DA wants to be the new R34, so be it, but that’s not why I created this account. To anyone whom I’ve had pleasant interactions with over the years; thank you. With that said, I will be ending my use of this platform permanently. I wish those trying to share legitimate artwork the best of luck, but all these spam “AI” accounts can go straight to he||. Time to Say Goodbye Thank you to those who’ve supported me over the years. Nuking my profile breaks my heart, but I won’t willingly be part of a system that steals from its contributors and supporters. Regardless of the changes that DA may make in the future, they’ve broken my trust entirely. I was never an amazing or popular artist, but I felt comfortable posting my drawings and photos here. In fact, DeviantArt was the ONLY place I posted my art. I don’t use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any other social media to promote or share my passion. I never trusted those platforms. Now I don’t trust this one. I’ve decided NOT to delete my account entirely, though. I will leave everything exactly the way it is now and that’s it. Some people may not like it, understand it, or agree with it, but DeviantArt no longer feels like a safe and secure platform for my art. They also may not agree with what I DO post now that I’ve taken this stance, but they’re wasting their time if they think I’ll argue with them about it. Again, thank you to everyone who’s been kind and supportive over the years. I wish you all the best of luck and all the happiness you can find on the road of becoming/being an artist. Goodbye ❤️
